“Wolves are back in the Forest” for Easter 2010
Spend a day in the delightful setting of natural New Forest woodland.
Enjoy our large collection of European and exotic wildlife.
Bask in the warmth of Tropical Butterfly House (open Easter to October). Our animal glasshouse is home to otters, ferrets, harvest mice, hedgehogs etc. Into the Night Barn to check on the badger and foxes and polecats. A stroll around the woodland pathways gives you the opportunity to see 3 species of otters, 15 species of owls, 4 species deer, mink, pine martens, Grishkin our female lynx and Scottish Wildcats etc. Dottie and Loki, the wandering tame fallow deer may be around to check your pockets! In Wallaby Wood you can see the free roaming wallabies, powerful wild boar and our new European wolf enclosure.
Throughout the day “Keeper Talks” are an opportunity to meet the animal staff and ask questions. A nature quiz trail entertains and occupies all our young visitors. The Woodland Bakehouse offers you a well earned rest with drinks, hot and cold snacks. Finally, take a few moments in our Wildlife gift shop to find that special souvenir.
So much to see so much to do.
